Our hometown is Miag-ao, located one hour’s drive south of Iloilo City, Province of Iloilo, Panay Island, Philippines. Founded in 1716, the town’s most visible structure is the Miag-ao Church, which has been for many years now a UNESCO Heritage Church. The beauty of Miag-ao extends beyond the architectural heritage, it lies in Miag-ao’s people and its surroundings beyond the town center. It is all about the sea, the mountains, the waterfalls, hanging bridges, pottery villages, hablon fabric manufacturing, fishing, rice terraces, rivers and many more.
